What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu is a Japanese type of massage which is based
on the meridian system (energy lines) in Traditional Chinese medicine. Shiatsu means 'finger pressure'.
Shiatsu helps to get rid of blockages in the whole body,
thereby stimulating und harmonizing the life energy (Qi).
Different pressure points and techniques strengthen your body's natural ability to heal and balance itself.
Shiatsu can reduce stress and alleviate
a whole range of physical and psychological symptoms.
Shiatsu is suitable for all ages.
Treatments
Shiatsu is usually given on a Shiatsu mat and the client remains fully clothed during the treatment. It is also possible
to use a massage table or a special Shiatsu chair.
After a brief diagnosis, I mainly work along the meridians (energy lines) of the body and use my fingers and palms to apply pressure. This helps to balance the energy and get rid of mental and physical blockages and tension.
A treatment usually lasts 60 minutes and includes a preliminary discussion and a short rest period afterwards.
Please bring comfortable clothes and warm socks if needed
and look forward to a relaxing hour!
