Recipe for golden milk with turmeric
I like to recommend this recipe for inflammation in the body, for example arthritis. It actually helped me to cure arthritis in my big toe a few years ago!
Turmeric paste Basic recipe
- quarter cup ground turmeric - half a cup water
Add both ingredients to a little pot and and continuously stir with a wooden spoon for a few minutes at medium heat until a paste forms. If the consistency is too firm, add some more water. The paste should be smooth but not watery. You can keep it in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Golden Milk Recipe for one cup
- 1 cup milk (almond, oat, soy…) or water
- 1 teaspoon turmeric paste - 1 teaspoon coconut oil or other cold pressed oil (I like walnut oil) - ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper or more, depending on your taste - if needed, sweetener like honey as well as cardamon and cinnamon
Heat up the milk with the paste and the pepper, stirring until the paste is dissolved
Fill into your cup, add the oil, honey and spices, stir und enjoy!
